How we handle your data and what you agree to when using Echoed
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between Echoed Labs LLC, a Wyoming Limited Liability Company (“Echoed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and you (the “user”). By accessing or using Echoed, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Echoed, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to comply with these terms. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use our services.
2. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Use automated scripts or bots without our permission
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
3. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create and share on Echoed. By posting content, you grant us a license to store, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate our services.
4. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. The data controller for the personal information we process is Echoed Labs LLC, at the principal office address listed above.
Our Promise: We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not show you ads. Your data is used solely to provide and improve Echoed services.

Account Deletion (14-Day Grace Period)
You can request permanent deletion of your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account inside the app. Your request enters a 14-day grace period during which the account is deactivated and invisible to others, but still recoverable if you change your mind.
- Owning active servers: if you own one or more servers, you must transfer ownership or delete them before your deletion request is accepted. This protects your communities from sudden loss.
- Restoration: sign back in within the 14-day window to cancel the deletion. You receive email confirmation when the request is made, when it's restored, and when it's finalized.
- Permanent purge (after Day 14): we permanently remove your account and personal data from our systems, including but not limited to: messages you authored, servers you owned (if not transferred), server memberships, uploaded media, notification preferences, voice/call records, saved items, API tokens, and push-notification devices.
- Tombstone: a cryptographic hash of your email and username is retained indefinitely to prevent the exact same identity from being re-registered. The hash itself contains no personal information and cannot be reversed.
- What is not deleted: messages sent to other users' inboxes (they own their side of the conversation), moderation/audit-log entries server owners retain for safety reasons, and records we are legally required to preserve (e.g. financial receipts). Third-party messages referring to you remain with their authors.
- In-app flow: we honor deletion initiated from within the app without requiring you to contact support. This satisfies Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v).
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within the deletion flow timeline described above, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
Third-Party Services
Echoed runs on its own native authentication and backend infrastructure. We use a small number of privacy-respecting operational providers (e.g. transactional email, cloud storage for user-uploaded files, error monitoring) strictly to operate the service. We do not share your personal data with advertising networks or data brokers, and we do not sell your data.
